Dynamics Gp Pricing Overview For Erp Selection Manager
If you are in transition from your legacy Accounting, ERP, MRP system to the new one, you should review major mid-size business ERP vendors on the market, plus probably consider vertical ERP solutions or add-ons to existing ERP applications. This small publication is targeted to new and existing Dynamics GP or former Great Plains Dynamics and Great Plains Accounting for DOS and Windows, including switch from Intellisol Advanced Purchase Order Processing, Great Plains Dynamics on Pervasive SQL Btrieve and Ctree/Faircom, historical Great Plains installations recovery and version update: 4.0, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0 and 9.0 to current Dynamics GP version 10.0, especially new modules and concurrent user licenses:
1. Dynamics GP Business Ready Licensing schema. This is relatively new licensing module for GP (probably placing Dynamics GP in good competition to such all-in-one licensing as SAP Business One), where you are getting the users, who has access to basic set of Dynamics GP modules (if you chose Dynamics GP Business Essentials), or advanced set (such as Manufacturing, when you are choosing Dynamics GP Advanced Management). To give you the idea for ballpark calculation – at this time, February 2009, Advanced Management user will cost you $3,980 for the first 10 users and Business Essential for the first ten users is $2,250. As you increase the number of users, user license cost drops a little bit. In order to be enlisted to purchase new Dynamics GP user licenses you should be current in Microsoft Dynamics GP annual enhancement program, which is 18% of the software price list for the first year, and then you can select either 16% (the minimal level, available through Dynamics GP Partners channel only) or Luxury support (when you may decide to get unlimited number of support cases, or even have Microsoft Business Solutions to assign dedicated Dynamics GP support engineer to your account). Both licenses include FRx Financial Reporting
2. For existing Dynamics GP Great Plains customers. Historically you might be on Dynamics GP Standard or Professional, where you pay for module and if you need new modules, you are again paying for the new modules added. Microsoft Dynamics GP subdivision recommends you to switch to GP Business Ready licensing mode with seasonal incentives, so you should be in touch with you Dynamics GP Reseller
3. Great Plains old version support and new licenses. If you are on Pervasive SQL or Ctree: Great Plains 7.5, 7.0, 6.0, 5.5, 5.0 or earlier, you cannot get reg key for new Great Plains Dynamics GP users – you have to upgrade to Dynamics GP on Microsoft SQL Server or MSDE/SQL Select 2005. Our observation is – often customers on archaic Great Plains Dynamics versions are not current in GP annual enhancement, and placing them back requires investment into reenrollment penalty. Please call us to see what we can do for you
4. GPA for DOS and Windows. You should have the reasons to stay on this historical ERP platform. If you would like us to support you Great Plains Accounting for DOS and Windows, including moving you to Windows 2003 Server, feel free to call us. Otherwise, GPA migration price should be discounted for you to Dynamics GP
